Now multiply that by 100 and you’ve got what Kala, this playfully adorable sun bear cub, is experiencing. Kala’s mother was killed by poachers and the little cub was sold into captivity. Luckily, the person who purchased her quickly realized that she needed to be turned into the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Center to get her life back on track.
