A Janitor Creates An Incredible And Complex Maze Over 7 Years. Awesome Does Not Begin To Describe It

Three decades ago, a man spent 7 years hand-drawing the one of the most complex mazes the world has ever seen. Recently, his daughter posted pictures of his creation on twitter, and the internet has exploded with intrigue over her dad.

So who is the man behind this elaborate labyrinth?? A professor? A prodigy grad student? Perhaps a magician? Nope!  The baffling part of this – It was made by the school janitor.

The maze is drawn to be about 34 x 23.3-inches.

…around 30 years ago.

To this point, he has remained completely anonymous and wants no public recognition for his phenomenal work.

Even more incredible, it seems to be solvable, but defies common maze-solving algorithms

Even more incredible, it seems to be completely unsolvable.

Both maze aficionados and artists are going crazy over this maze, both for its mathematical brilliance and artistic value.  This is a real life Good Will Hunting scenario, and shows that people are capable of great feats regardless of their position in life.  It’s an awesome piece of work, but no additional information about the man behind it has been shared.  Regardless, it is one of the most remarkable pieces of work to ever come out for maze solving.
